I have been offered a job on Norwich Business School’s Graduate Management Training Scheme. The scheme offers students a great opportunity to get their foot onto the graduate job ladder. The application process is well-defined and easy to understand. Furthermore, it allows candidates to interview for multiple organisations without having to put all of their eggs in one basket.
The advice offered through the scheme really focused on my career development. This differs from other schemes I’ve experienced which have centred on what is best for the organisation. The chances of getting a job through this scheme are so much higher than filling out online application forms, where candidates are rejected based on screening and algorithms. There was a real feeling that my application had been read thoroughly, and that I wasn’t just another number throughout this process.
The Assessment Days comprised of numeracy/literacy tests, group exercise and a competency based interview. Successful or unsuccessful the Assessment Days provide students with a multitude of transferable skills, which they can draw on in the future. If successful, candidates are then offered interviews for different organisations, which are chosen following consultation with the students. Interview and assessment centre advice is available throughout the process, allowing students to improve their skills.
I would recommend the Graduate Training Management Scheme to all students who have studied at Norwich Business School.
